Semigreenko. The purpose of this event was to summarize the preliminary results, a comparison of the biological productivity, humidity index and external appearance of maize. On demo-field the hybrids from many manufacturers were presented. Among all presented maize hybrids of\u00a0<strong>FAO 280<\/strong>\u00a0the greatest attention was paid to the hybrid Austrian selection of\u00a0<strong>\u00abRWA\u00bb<\/strong>\u00a0(Raiffeisen Ware Austria AG)\u00a0<strong>Ballerina<\/strong>\u00a0from the company\u00a0<strong>\u201cTerraVita Ukraine\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The hybrid\u00a0<strong>Ballerina<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>FAO 280<\/strong>\u00a0has a high resistance to disease and lodging, excellent moisture-yielding ability, has a fast start of growing at low temperatures, and even under stressful conditions makes a stable yield.<\/p>\n<table width=\"209\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-255\" src=\"https:\/\/terravita.kiev.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/DSC_4408-1-150x300.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/terravita.kiev.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/DSC_4408-1-150x300.jpg 150w, https:\/\/terravita.kiev.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/DSC_4408-1.jpg 295w\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"300\" \/><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Spreading of the rows of the seeds<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>Here are the following biological characteristics which distinguish the hybrid from the others:<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 high pollen viability, which contributes to almost 100% pollination at high temperature;<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 during grain filling in the upper part of head about 7-8 wrapping leaves open out;<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 at drying of stalk the petals open almost completely;<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 thin centrum of the cub during the drying down helps spreading of the rows of the seeds. It is one of the most factors for drying down of the seeds.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, the control humidity measurements of hybrid Ballerina seeds obtained figures \u2013 19,8-21%, while other\u00a0<strong>FAO 280<\/strong>\u00a0hybrids showed humidity between 29-32%.<\/p>\n<table width=\"161\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-256\" src=\"https:\/\/terravita.kiev.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/DSC_4445-169x300.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 169px) 100vw, 169px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/terravita.kiev.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/DSC_4445-169x300.jpg 169w, https:\/\/terravita.kiev.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/DSC_4445.jpg 450w\" alt=\"\" width=\"169\" height=\"300\" \/><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Humidity index\u00a019,8%<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>Taking into account that the measurements were carried out on 3 September 2015, the harvest will not take place until October, so still there are 2 months left to achieve a minimum percentage difference from a base moisture content of 14%.
