PIONEER 900 EC

A selective pre-emergence herbicide to control dicotyledonous and annual cereal weeds on maize, sunflower and soybean.

Active ingredient:

acetochlor, 900 g/l

Formulation:

emulsifiable concentrate

Packing:

1 L, 5 L, 10 L, 20 L

Mode of action:

is absorbed by the weed sprouts, inhibits cell growth and division, breaking their protein and lipid metabolism which leads to irreversible process and death.

Treatment/terms of application

Maize

1.5-3.0

Spraying the soil before planting, during planting and after planting but before the emergence of crops

Sunflower

1.5-2.5

Soybeans

1.5-2.5

Railway

2.0-3.0

Spraying railroad before the emergence of weeds

Compatibility

Depending on the field infestation and weed species, Pioneer 900 EC can be used in tank mixtures with Stargezan 500, SC (1.5-2.0 l/ha) on sunflower and soybeans.

Application features

• basic requirement for developing high herbicide effect is the quality of the seedbed preparation (large lumps increase the area of absorption, reducing the effectiveness of the product);

• after application, it is necessary to incorporate it into the soil by light or moderate harrows and in case of drought the soil must be pressed;

• dose rate is determined according to the type of soil and their mechanical composition. On low-humus, light mechanical soils the dose rate is 1.5-2.0 l/ha, on loamy soils with a humus content of less than 4% – 2.0-2.5 l/ha and on heavy loamy soils with a humus content of 4-5% and peat bogs – 2.5-3.0 l/ha.

• apply the product in irriguous soil for better results;

• dose rate of the working solution during the ground spraying is 200-300 liters per hectare. It is necessary to cover the whole area while applying the product.

Product’s advantages

• it provides crops with a good start and further development, resulting in the death of the weed competitors even before they are on the surface;

• it reduces the number of mechanical tillage that retains moisture and productive topsoil;

• it doesn’t accumulate in the environment and is rapidly degraded in soil.

Optimal weather conditions for application

Preparation of the tank mixture

Weather conditions during the period of application

from + 10°С to + 25°С

200-400 l/ha

Optimal conditions for application – after rain or irrigation normally 10-20 mm. Application could be done at a wind speed no more, than 3-4 m/s.
